Patricia Falkenburg, PhD born 1961 married, three children molecular biologist, medical writer poet Why poems? Why pictures? There is no alternative. It so happened—seeds blown into my brain, growing—and now there is no alternative. Because in this world, poetry is indispensible. Like music. Because pictures exploring the world want to be seen. They, too, are indispensible. Like breathing. In order not to forget it, this world around us. Because poets, and musicians, and pictographers simply can’t help it. May the Lord have mercy upon them!
